This website is operated by Kairos Blocks Inc., operating as Kairos Blocks (“we”, “us” or “our”). These terms apply to purchases from our store and use of our website. Please read them together with our Shipping policy, Refund policy and Privacy policy.
Orders and payment
Please provide accurate contact, billing and delivery information when ordering. You must be legally able to enter into a purchase agreement and authorized to use the payment method provided.
Payments are processed through Shopify’s checkout using the payment methods available at the time of purchase. We will email you confirmation of your order.
Products are subject to availability. If we cannot fulfil your order, we will contact you and refund any payment for the unfulfilled portion, including related taxes and shipping. We will not substitute another product without your agreement.
Prices and taxes
All prices are in Canadian dollars. Applicable taxes and shipping charges are calculated and shown at checkout before you complete your purchase. Price changes do not affect orders already placed.
We take care to keep descriptions, prices and availability accurate. If we discover a material error affecting your order, we will contact you to explain it and agree on a resolution. We will not charge a higher price without your agreement.
Our handcrafted products
Our boards are made by hand from natural wood, so grain, colour and other natural characteristics vary from board to board. Photographs illustrate the design and materials; your board will have its own appearance. Published dimensions and weights are approximate.
These natural variations do not limit your rights if a product is defective or materially different from its description.
Board numbers
By default, boards are numbered in the order they are purchased. If a particular number means something to you, such as a milestone birthday or anniversary, email hello@kairosblocks.com before ordering. Requests are subject to availability, and we will let you know whether we can reserve it for you.
Pre-orders
Products offered for pre-order will be clearly marked, with an estimated dispatch date shown before purchase. Pre-orders are paid in full at checkout. If the estimated dispatch date changes, we will contact you. You may cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before dispatch or hand delivery.
Shipping, returns and cancellations
We currently deliver within Canada. Shipping charges, timelines and complimentary GTA hand delivery are described in our Shipping policy. Carrier estimates are not guaranteed arrival dates, so if you need a board for a particular occasion, please contact us before ordering.
Cancellations, change-of-mind returns and refunds are covered by our Refund policy. Your rights concerning defective, damaged or incorrect products are not limited by the 30-day return window.
Product care
Please follow the care instructions supplied with your board and published on our website. Normal wear, and damage caused by misuse or not following the care instructions, are different from a manufacturing defect. If you are unsure about an issue, contact us and we will help assess it.
We do not offer a separate warranty at this time. This does not limit any warranty, guarantee or remedy provided by law.
Website use and intellectual property
You may use our website for lawful browsing and purchasing. You must not misuse it, attempt unauthorized access or interfere with its operation.
Our branding, photographs, written content and other website materials belong to Kairos Blocks Inc. or their respective owners and may not be reproduced or used commercially without permission. You are welcome to share links to our website.
Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify, which provides the technology for our website and checkout. Purchases from this store are made with Kairos Blocks Inc. Shopify processes personal information when you visit or buy from our store, including to provide services based on your interactions with other merchants and with Shopify, and this information may be shared with Shopify and other service providers located outside Canada. Our Privacy policy explains this in more detail.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of our website or products.
Your rights and resolving concerns
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, warranties or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. If you have a concern about an order, please email hello@kairosblocks.com so we can work with you to resolve it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, subject to any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms by publishing a revised version and updating the date above. Changes do not affect orders already placed unless you agree or the law requires otherwise.
