Kairos Blocks Inc., operating as Kairos Blocks (“we”, “us” or “our”), runs this website and store, which is hosted by Shopify. This policy explains how we collect, use and share personal information when you visit our website, buy from us, subscribe to updates or contact us.
Information we collect
We collect information directly from you, automatically when you use our website, and from Shopify and the service providers that process payments and deliver orders. This includes:
- Contact and delivery details: name, email address, billing and delivery addresses, and phone number if provided.
- Order information: products purchased, payment status, shipping, returns, refunds and related correspondence.
- Board records: the numbers of the individually numbered boards you purchase.
- Communications and preferences: messages you send us and your marketing choices.
- Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device details, and how you use our website, collected through Shopify, cookies and similar technologies.
Payments are processed by Shopify’s checkout and its payment providers. We do not receive your full card details; we receive only what we need to manage your order, such as payment status.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- process payments, fulfil orders and arrange shipping or hand delivery;
- provide order updates and handle questions, cancellations, returns and refunds;
- keep records of board numbers and their purchasers for our sales records and customer service;
- send workshop news and marketing emails if you have subscribed or otherwise consented;
- improve our website, prevent fraud and keep our store secure; and
- keep business and accounting records and meet legal obligations.
Email updates
If you subscribe, we may send news from the workshop, product announcements and other marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email or by emailing hello@kairosblocks.com. You will still receive essential messages about your orders.
How we share information
We share personal information only as needed with service providers that help us run the business, including Shopify, payment providers, Canada Post, email and technology providers, and our accountants or professional advisers. For example, Canada Post receives the details needed to deliver your parcel.
We may also disclose information with your consent, where required or permitted by law, to prevent fraud or protect our rights, or as part of a sale or restructuring of the business.
Shopify
Shopify collects and processes information about your use of our store to provide and improve its services. We use Shopify Network Intelligence, which may combine information about your interactions with our store with information from other Shopify merchants and from Shopify itself, including for personalisation and advertising. For these services, Shopify is responsible for processing your information and responding to related requests. Cookies
Our website and Shopify use cookies and similar technologies to run the store and checkout, remember preferences, keep the site secure, understand how it is used and support the Shopify services above. You can manage cookies in your browser settings, although blocking some may affect how the website works.
Processing outside Canada
Our service providers, including Shopify, may store or process personal information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful access by its authorities.
Security and retention
We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, although no system is completely secure. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above, including order support, board and accounting records, legal obligations and resolving disputes, and then delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
You may ask to access or correct your personal information, ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep, or withdraw consent to uses that rely on it, subject to legal and accounting requirements. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by law.
Children
Our website and products are intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the date above. Where the law requires, we will also give additional notice or ask for your consent.
